Payout options

In the event of an accident that results in a death or disability, you can receive your payout as follows:

Death

  • Option 1:
    Immediate payout of $1,000 and $9,000 paid out as instalments to the entitled family or beneficiary.
  • Option 2:
    Immediate $10,000 lumpsum payment after the death to the beneficiary.

Disability due to an accident

  • Option 1:
    Immediate payout of $1,000 and $9,000 paid out as instalments in the form of medical subscriptions or fees and the balance in the form of grocery allowance.
  • Option 2:
    Immediate $10,000 lumpsum payment.

Please note the terms and conditions can be changed at the Insurers' sole discretion but subject to sixty (60) days’ notice to customers.

If you are an EcoSure Funeral Cover subscriber you can get peace of mind with Personal Accident Cover. You can receive a $10,000 payout in the event of an accident that leads to disability or loss of life. You only pay an additional $1 on your EcoSure Funeral Cover monthly premium.

How to register for Personal Accident Cover 

  1. Dial *900# to register
  2. Enter PIN
  3. Select “EcoSure Plus”
  4. Select “Personal Accident Cover”

How to make a claim

Claims process for an accident that has caused disability

The following documents are required:

  • Medical report from at least two qualified medical doctors
  • Completed claim form
  • ID of the policyholder
  • ID of claimant (if different from the policyholder)
  • A police report of the accident

 

Claims process for an accident that has caused accidental death

The following documents are required:

  • Death Certificate, Burial Order or Order to Bury or Affidavit from the Chief confirming the death of the deceased.
  • ID copies of Claimant and two (2) witnesses with at least two bearing the same surname as that of the deceased.
  • A police report of the accident
